Special Diets at Sababa – Gluten-Free, Vegan, Vegetarian & More

Hello dear friends,

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about our menu for people with special dietary needs, so in this post, we’ll summarize what Sababa offers.

We mark all our dishes with clear logos for each type of diet. For example, if a dish is 100% vegan, you’ll see it clearly labeled, along with an explanation of why it’s vegan and what you can ask the waiter if you’d like to modify the dish. The same goes for vegetarian options. We also recently added a vegan burger and a vegan kebab shawarma to the menu.

Gluten-Free Options
We are very careful when it comes to gluten. One of our staff members has a family member with celiac disease, so we fully understand the risks. We have separate tools and areas in the kitchen for preparing 100% gluten-free dishes to avoid cross-contamination. Our gluten-free pita bread, made in-house from potatoes, is completely safe to eat.

We also ensure all ingredients—including oil, soy sauce, spices, and even the smallest items—are 100% gluten-free. Gluten-free plates are served separately and marked with a sticker for online orders from our main branch. Some dishes have two versions (regular and gluten-free), so please double-check your order with the waiter to make sure it’s prepared correctly.

Keto Options
For our keto guests, we’re currently developing a new menu option—stay tuned!

We welcome any questions, suggestions, or special requests. Please leave a comment below or contact us anytime. We promise to listen and do our best to accommodate your needs.

Please note: While we offer gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options, Sababa Chiang Mai is not kosher or halal. We want all our guests to enjoy their meal with full clarity.
