This week, the Sababa Chiang Mai family came together to celebrate the birthday of Chef Jeab, a woman who has been with us since 2017 and who truly represents the heart and spirit of Sababa.
From the very beginning, Jeab has been much more than the person behind the food. She is the strength in the kitchen, the warm smile during busy nights, the one who takes care of everyone — team members, guests, friends — like family. Sababa would simply not be the same without her.
One Big Happy Family
Her birthday celebration was everything we believe Sababa stands for.
The restaurant was filled with love, laughter, and familiar faces — customers who have been with us over the years, friends, former team members, family friends, and of course, the current Sababa crew.
There were lots of presents, amazing food, music, dancing, and a beautiful atmosphere that reminded us why this place feels like home. Everyone was welcome, and everyone belonged. It truly felt like one big, happy family celebrating together.
The timing made it even more special — a joyful moment to celebrate Christmas and the New Year together as well, closing the year with gratitude and starting the next one with positive energy.
Strength, Kindness, and Support
In her own words, Chef Jeab shared how meaningful this day was for her — a reminder that even the strongest people sometimes need support, warmth, and a hug. Friendship, real support, and standing by each other matter more than words. Good actions always win, and kindness always comes back.
Seeing the team come together, baking cakes, bringing surprises, sharing laughter (and a few emotional moments), showed exactly what Sababa is about: support, honesty, and heart.
Looking Forward
Chef Jeab is a true angel in Chiang Mai, and we are incredibly grateful to walk this journey with her. We wish her health, happiness, strength, and endless joy — and we look forward to many more years together, cooking, celebrating, and growing as a family.
